VACANCY

Club Treasurer

 

The post rotates in regard to election over a three year period and this post to be elected by the Members at an Annual General Meeting

 

The Role

Responsible for making sure that all bills are accurate and correct before paying them.

Responsible for managing and handling the club's financial resources and records.

Have a good grasp of accounting and money management.

Responsible for creating a budget and presenting it to other officers of the club

Prepare a monthly financial report for the club's officers

Record all financial transactions and balance the club's cheque book or savings account books with every bank statement received.

Responsible for reconciling bank statements with the club's records.

Liaising with the Club's stocktaker and brewery representatives

Payroll

 
Requirements
Working knowledge and understanding of Sage Accounting and Payroll software

To attend Executive Committee meetings, the AGM and any EGMs as required

Be capable of handling figures and cash

Have an orderly mind and methodical way of thinking

Have experience in dealing with large sums of money and budgets

Have experience of financial control and budgeting

Have an eye for detail

Be available to be contacted for ad hoc advice

Have a financial qualification or relevant experience

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to ensure decisions are taken and followed
